What is high performance?

Some people tell me they see it as applying to high achievers in a corporate setting, on a career track. Other people think of it as applying to athletes. As a Certified High Performance Coach, we have a broader definition – one that can apply to anyone, anywhere, at any age – who has a growth mindset. 

In our program, High Performance means succeeding beyond standard norms consistently over the long term. You craft your own specific definition for where you are in your life right now, professionally or personally. Equally important, High Performance is the ongoing feeling of full engagement, joy and confidence that comes from consistently living from your best self. You know it, when you feel the JOY! 

I love to give people options – because we all learn differently, and we have different time and financial constraints. This week, I am want to share a number of options to learn and experience the lessons and value of the Certified High Performance Coaching framework.

As Richard Bach says, “We teach best what we most need to learn.” Richard Bach is the author of the New York Times bestseller, Johnathan Livingston Seagull. He is also the author of one of the books which was incredibly inspirational in my early journey, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah.

My focus is on the high performance habits  – because, right now, these are the lessons I need to learn most! And yes, I have just announced a new Spring 2020 Total Immersion Retreat in High Performance Habits  

I have taken on a couple of big projects and challenges that require me to dig deeper and figure out how to be even more productive, to serve at a higher level, and stay focused in the midst of organized chaos. Seriously, I am talking about getting new carpet after 21 years and clearing, cleansing, moving and resettling – a project that has taken me out of rhythm for almost 10 days. Professionally, I have also taken on a couple of new projects that are stretching me to the max.   

I am staying grounded  -- because I have a Morning Ritual and because I know I am on Purpose. I am not “busy” doing.  I am totally engaged and loving what I do -- living my aspirational words of who I Am... when I am at my best. "being"  who I Am. These are a 2 core lessons I have learned – over and over again, at deeper and deeper levels – and lessons of Clarity and Purpose which I coach in the High Performance Habitsframework. I teach what I most need to learn
